What you are doing is good John. What I meant to say is that after a period of time some of the silver plates onto the sides of the jar and the jar needs to be cleaned of all silver plating. If you see anything at all plated on the jar use a brush and distilled water to clean it off. Sometimes it is hard to see, maybe just slight darkening of the color of the jar, that is silver plated on to the jar. This is what happened with my unit after a few months of use. After cleaning the jar thoroughly it I had much less deposits on the electrodes.
