This whole series is rather interesting. I passed a corporate dairy farm last weekend on my way out to the olive mill and did not like what I saw.
When I was a kid and went to spend time on my families dairy farms we got up early to herd the cows in from the pasture to be milked... they had a few cows that they milked by hand and used within hours, warm (right out of the cow), and raw for the family. The rest was processed as per the governments wishes.
Kind of sad to think a good part of the negative change has transpired in my lifetime, supported by our wants and habits as consumers...
