Good to see a thread on this. There's a really good book about alkalizing by a man named John Thomas called "Young Again". He recommends mineral-rich foods along with regular colonics, an elaborate
Liver Flush plan, and other things to help detoxing e.g. kombucha tea. He maintains it's not about becoming more alkaline, but actually *less* acid- through enabling the body to dump its accumulation of acidic waste (where the colonics/flushes come in). Big proponent of exercise also.
Just an observation: nearly everyone has their "thing", or fixation. For Humaworm, it's parasites. For Moreless, it's alkaline minerals. For John Thomas, it's colonics. They have one thing they stress above all others, as a key or perhaps a 'missing link', to good health. There's good information coming from all of these sources, and the ultimate truth probably lies in taking the strong points from all of them and combining them into one discipline. We're after *results*, not running in circles with theorizing, so whatever brings about positive progress should be the focus.
IMO, best that instead of this:
Acid body + very high doses of alkaline minerals = alkalinity
...would be this approach:
Acid body - acidic wastes (through normalizing waste channels) = alkalinity
