I am a 25 year old female. My concern is that I stopped having my period several months ago. I visited my gynecologist, and had my TSH and prolactin levels taken, which both came back within normal ranges. My gynecologist wants me to undergo a progesterone challenge, but I do not want to take synthetic hormones! I am a long distance runner, I eat a mostly vegan diet. That said, I have cheated once in a while for a little bit of meat.
Can you suggest anything for me to make sure I get my periods again? I don't want to have osteoporosis from lack of menses, and I'd like to have children someday too. I am very concerned about this.
