Don't know if anyone answers this forum...
I too refuse to take synthetic HRT (hormone replacement therapy), but bio-identical HRT is a whole different thing you may really want to look into. My understanding is that unless you were almost perfect with your diet your entire life and have had NO exposure to any toxins in your life, you might make it OK through menopause and come out on the other side feeling good. But if you aren't "perfect" then it most likely will need "intervention" such as with (bio-identical)BHRT, which will give you your life and libido back in a balanced way, along with choosing a healthy lifestyle, such as eating right and exercising, etc.
The key is to look for a holistic doc or an anti-aging doc to help you, who understands balancing the body and with hormones if necessary.
The newest book "Ageless" by Suzanne Somers is acutally quite informative, believe it or not.... She interviews a ton of different docs and they tell all and is a good place to start learning anyway.
Best of luck to you.
