thanks,
I can understand about the fruits now.
Cant wait for the refratometer..
so I could be falsly alkaline, I get that. I have suspected that could be an issue.
Herbs or herbal extracts that have caused the same problems-
chanca piedra, oregeno, olive leaf, gold coin grass, bitters, kidney herbs, coriander to name a few. I can tolerate them for a few days then they start to cause my symptoms to act up. For example I was taking gold coin grass EXTRACT at a tsp a day and after a week it started causing me problems.
Heres my thing with sodium. Sea salt helped for a little while with low blood pressure and fatigue but never with the peeling, burning etc. Also it never seemed to plump my skin but it did make it softer. Then it too turned on me and now when I eat too much salt (over a tsp/day) my skin gets tight, dry and my inner nostrils get raw and dry. Also over a tsp/day will keep me up (insomnia).
Oh and this is odd but the potassium actually helps with my low blood pressure, when I was using salt to increase my blood pressure I had to take a little of it practically every hour to keep my systolic over 90 mm/hg Now with the potassium my blood pressure is normal. Why is this when usually potassium lowers blood pressure?!
Heres what happened when I increased the calcium- my dry lips got better, my insomnia was better, mood was better but my facial skin freaked out, it became beet red and glassy thin; so thin that I could not see my pores (and I have huge pores!). During this time I was accidently scratched by my child and her nails tore through my skin like it was butter. I went to the endocrinolgist right away, I was so afraid for my face. All my hormones tested normal, cortisol was mildly elevated. I cut back on the calcium and after about three weeks my glassy thin skin slowly reversed. I have several scars from that period. I should mention that my skin started to get "thin" after the C-section, whereas before it was very thick.
So as you can see at this point I am just confused as ever. Im taking the potassium because I just happened to be so sleep deprived enough to try the potassium to help me sleep and noticed the skin effects the next day. I would love to solve this with food but if all my food has these funny proteins then what?
Here are the foods thus far that seem to really help my skin and insomnia -tangerines, potato skins, goji berries. Maybe there is a clue there.
