#59694
I just finally got my backing up to CD problem solved. (Needed a new drive,
and a program)and noticed that this burning software (Nero)mentions that the disc
is readable on all windows operating systems. What about transferring to a Mac?
this is something I REALLY want to do. Is it complex? easy? Not transferable?
Another issue I would really appreciate some help with...I'm not good with all this storage/burning stuff. I have several CDs that were created with a program I no longer have. (Adaptec easy cd creator.) In the course of changing computers and Operating systems, none of these CDs read as if there's anything on them. Or, alternately, windows "cannot read" them. Is it possible they might be infected--and that I should just forget about ever retrieving the info? ( like perhaps on a different computer, and/or by downloading Adaptec again) Some of this stuff I know once upon a time WAS on CD, and this included lots of old poems and prose--valuable stuff-- but now I'm wondering whether any of these CDs might be infected.
any ideas, anyone?
Ps Johnnysmith--thanks for your help some time back, with the XP CD burning problems.
As it turned out, it took two visits to tech sickbay to get things somewhat sorted.
