Yes, the "travels to your back" thing could very well be gall bladder issues. Considering everything you've mentioned, you sound like you could use a few liver flushes.
For me, I had my left shoulder blade pop right out of place. It popped out so strongly that I had pain going from my left shoulder blade all the way down to my left elbow. It would move back and forth. It hurt quite a bit.
I didn't have any noticeable pain in the front area, however. Then again, my symptoms seemed to be a bit more extreme than yours are.
All that was related to my gall bladder problem. That problem has gone away completely, BTW, thanks to the program I've been on, which has included liver flushes.
If you want to know if what you have is gall bladder related, the moment your "episode" starts, drink one tablespoon of
Epsom Salt disolved in one cup of water. (Yes, it tastes hideous, but just choke it down.) Chances are the pain or tightness will subside within fifteen to twenty minutes. If this occurs, then you can be fairly certain that you're dealing with a gall bladder attack.
At that point, you can decide on how you'd like to proceed.
