Hi Moreless,
I think I made a big mistake. I got a flu shot a couple weeks ago, and have not been feeling well since. As a diabetic, it has been drummed into me since my teen years that I need to do this, but to be honest, I don't think it has helped me all that much. Some years I have not gotten it, and been fine anyway, and vice versa. Since I have liver issues, I am always trying to figure whether it is better for my liver to risk getting the flu or taking the shot. I now see a post from you that this flu shot is not a good idea. :(
It is not like I feel I got a minor version of the flu or anything like that, but I have a feeling that the mercury in the shot is kicking my poor liver's butt as it tries to expel it. I have become more jaundiced since the short (and that had been getting better before the shot), and I wake up feeling drugged every morning. I do some things (lemon, chlorella, baking soda, hot/cold shower) to clear as much of that hangover as I can so I can function during the day, and that helps.
I had originally thought that I had a candida flare, but the fact that this is not acting like my past candida flares makes me think mercury instead.
Even tho I have been adapting a lot of your principles to my needs, I have not yet tried the "official" drink or used epsoms. I had been scared of aggravating my candida. However, the fact that I can eat plenty of fruit and even some sweets w/o much of a problem, makes me think that the molasses should definitely be safe for me to try now, so I will be shopping for the ingredients and making the drink, as well as putting epsoms on my food, especially since recently reading here that is good for the liver and kidneys. I know this will help me.
Is there anything else particular to the liver that I can do to speed my recovery from this debacle along with the above? I would also be interested in your take on Mercury in the flu shot and how it may/may not affect the liver.
(By the way (OT) I wanted to tell you that I have been doing much thinking regarding your position on homosexuality in relation to poor diet, and while I still may not agree with you on every point, I have come to agree on some. And the points on which I do not agree I have at least come to understand. I just wanted to mention that, as I think whenever people can come to an understanding, the world is richer for it.)
Thanks,
Sans
