I wouldn't worry too much about it being made specifically for human use though many distributors mention their products being "food-grade". Apparently lot of people have been taking non-human grade products with good results. And in many places adverstising products for human use is not allowed. Some say that many of the products offered by companies are actually nearly identical or even the same, only with different labels.
