You could try to find a more holistic vet that will check the dogs' level of immunity by checking titers. If they have active immunity, then the dog does not need any more of those vaccinations. Also a holistic vet may consider using nosodes, which is a natural to build the immunity.
Vaccinations can be dangerous, although this fact is not widely recognized. Vets promote them and give them. They give the same amount to a small dog as they do to a large dog. Hmmmm. Think about that. And they put as many into one vial as possible for pure convenience. (A holistic vet will consider giving them individually, so as to not overwhelm the animal.) And then the animal pharmaceutical companies promote yearly vaccine schedules to vets. Link to $$$ all the way down the food chain.
Some are necessary by law and some are necessary if the dog is to be publically boarded or taken to public training classes.
Our puppy just went through a very rough time and had a near death reaction (vaccinosis) to his last series of
vaccinations that was given by the breeder. He is better now.
Our vet checks titers. We plan to eliminate any more reactions in the future.
