Hi, Folks.
We have two Maine Coon cats -- sisters -- and they are delightful creatures.
Within the last six weeks, one of our girls has started to piddle in the bathtub -- I find that to be quite clever; however, my son and his friends don't think so. :)
But -- the first time that I saw it, there was a bit of blood, so to delude myself, I figured that perhaps whichever cat it was might have had some surface blood (the one girl had scratched herself badly at the neck -- another story.). I did not see any blood again until last night, although every couple of days, the culprit would use the bathtub, rather than run downstairs to relieve herself.
Last night, we finally saw that it was Molly; she sat in the bathtub while my hubby was using the facilities -- unusual for her to do that. So, now I am thinking that she decided to piddle in the tub so that we could see that she has a problem. I used some toilet paper and it seems to be coming from her vagina. She was fixed about two years ago -- I doubt this is a good sign -- has anyone had this experience?
Molly's respiratory system was all clogged up when we got her and we had both of them on raw food which I made faithfully every week for them and they were in great shape. Then, one weekend, we had to go away and I left some dry food for them -- well, that was the end of the raw -- the very good quality manufactured food must have seemed like 'chocolate cake' to them because they looked at me as though I were nuts serving them their raw food. So, they have been on purchased food for the last year and a half. Molly does eat more than her share -- part of her sister's share, also.
Poppy, her sister, was scratching her neck badly in the Spring -- I believe that she wanted to go outside -- and we were very busy and not giving her much attention; we keep them inside for their health (and that was the agreement we made when we purchased them). We also have a small forest behind us and we would not want them to end up in there. However, we have given Poppy some extra attention and she is fine now.
Has anyone used an animal communicator -- if that is the right term? We do use a homeopathic vet who is super; I just need to get them up there for a visit. In the meantime, has anyone else had this situation with their animal?
Kindest thoughts.
