Years ago I died in a car accident. I went to the light. I discovered that God fogave and forgot every harm I had ever done to anyone. While I am not able to live up to that lofty forgiveness since my return, I have learned one trick to make forgiving others easy to do. I had a pit bull who dropped his jaw when he was around my children to show me and my children he was not going to harm them. It had a profound impact on me. I came to recognize in myself that sometimes I grinded my teeth and locked my jaw when I was angry or unforgiving of someone. I began to conscously drop my jaw when I was in a heated discussion and I found that I could not maintain unforgiveness while I consciously dropped my jaw. I don't know why it works but I know that even though I can vehemently disagee with other's views, I can't maintain resentment with a consciously dropped jaw.
I hope you will try it.
