Hi!
My lips were peeling since April. At first i got little pin prick like dots, red ones scattered over my top lip. I didnt think anything of it at that stage. Until They started getting extremely dry all of a sudden, crusting over, and peeling all day (well as soon as the new skin had formed it crusted over). This went on for a couple of months but i kept covering it up with lipstick and thinking it was because of the cold/dry of winter here. And it wasnt at all as bad as it has been in the last month.
The last 4-6 weeks, my lips got hard and crusty and the peeling came off in bigger chunks and i thought it was time to see the doctor. When they peeled off there was raw skin underneath instead of new skin and I was very worried.
I will keep you updated at how the olive extract stuff works. The reaction I got (the healing) was just so dramatic I had to post it just in case it works for others, as i know how awful this is.
At night (the 8 hours that I am asleep) my bottom lip is a TINY bit peeling slill but not peeling OFF at all, (I cannot take strips off my lips any more) almost lke something has stopped the cycle of massive peeling. I HOPE the healing continues and as i said i will update you on how this works. My top lip is completely healed btw, i was just talking about my bottom lip.
I wasnt told to use the olive for my lips but for my cough. So it was i who joined the dots, i have not been told be a doctor, but the more i research the olive thing the probability was that it was that. I have had not dietry change except for perhaps eating more fruit and less bread as we have had some warm weather and i havent felt like eating anything heavy. I am healthy but i have been bad with exercising lately so no change there either.
Hope this helps. I think we can only try things if others havent worked,to me it makes sense that it was the olive extract that has made such a huge difference, having been used in clinical trials with similar fungal or bacterial infections on the foot and tounge may have the same benefit to the lips.
