How nice it was of you to take your dog away from the noise. I gave my small dog four drops of Bach's Rescue Remedy. It seemed to help him. He still was barking a little and scaring the rest of the animals...who were already scared of the loud noises.

The New Year's celebration here is unreal. It goes on for hours with people shooting off loud fire crackers, and I do not mean just a few....most people that participate in the celebration each shoot off several hundred thousand. The smoke after wards hangs around and makes me sick. I closed all the windows that I could close last night and shut out most of the smoke and a lot of the noise. I am glad that it is over.

Oh man I was SUCH an idiot this last New Year's. I have two rescues since last August, and Kimi is a bit of a timid thing now and again, and the watchdog barker of the two. I didn't even think of how it would bother her but it sure did! Poor thing was shaking for hours. I got NO sleep all night. I really think I'll have to take a trip up to the mountains next year, OR I'll be sure to pick up some "Rescue Remedy."
