Tool for you: The Privacy Manager
You will find a link to the Privacy Manager below any of your forum messages.
(You must be logged on CureZone).
Privacy Manager allows you to make changes on all of your messages within a single forum, or on all of your messages across all forums.
You can hide your username and replace it with anonymous number or the other way around.
You can replace your username with "Hidden Username" or with "UserX"
Any replacement of your username will automatically disable CureZone Serach and Filter Messages by Username options on those messages.
You can also disable Serach and Sort by Username options without doing anything with your username.
These options should be enough to protect your pivacy, in case your privacy was compromised by the addition of new tools to CureZone : Search Engine and Sort by Username across forums.
Before you start using The Privacy Manager, edit manually those messages that contain content that should not be there.
You can not use The Privacy Manager to erase all of your messages.

I clicked on my name to pull up every post I have ever written and boy, talk about a trip down memory lane.....
It's amazing how much I have learned since day one.
But, there is still so much more to learn. I will never learn it all. I guess none of us will.

This is a reply to # 740,111that once a person uses any part of this "PRIVACY MANAGER" that it then shows "privacy manger for ..." (the original user name) one very meesage posted!
Now I really am leaving. Talk about a snafu. I thought I could stay somewhat quiet and still post a few useful things, while
disengaging, esp. to the Moreless and Barefoot forums, and also be of clear my own or anybody's ideas of "who "I" am"...
privacy, you know?
but no. this is absurd.

Why are you unable to see the link "The Privacy Manager" on my messages, but you are able to see that link on your own messages?

Now, try to log off curezone.
You know you are succesfully logged off when your username is not shown at the top of every page.
Now,
try to read the same message you posted.
Do you still see the link to "The Privacy Manager"?
Do you still see the "Edit Text", "Edit FCK", "Edit MCE" buttons?

I logged of and then on, and still saw the "privacy manager for.." then I logged off and stayed logged off
and didn't see it-- in effect becoming another Curezoner-
so, are you saying once one uses it it always appears beneath one's messages (but only to oneself?)
this was just shocking to me. Is that the case--?
Forgive my panic, please. It was a shock.

MoreThis is a reply to # 743,529Don't feel bad, I had the same reaction when I went and checked to see if my user name was removed from a forum that I do not wish to be connected with in any way. When I saw my username I freaked until I realized I was probably the only one who could see it. I guess we both had our "duh moment", sadly it surely will not be my last one.

MoreThis is a reply to # 743,535Both of you'ins are two of my most favorite human beings... Spirit has worked so hard to make things better. It is agonizing to make software do what you want it to do. A little give and take is needed. I am just glad you are both still around. I would miss you both dearly if you were not willing to give webbie a chance to make things better..

This is a reply to # 740,111Once you set the privacy manager and you choose to assign an anonymous fake name to your posts, is there a way for your future posts to automatically have that fake name (not the anonymous #...I'm talking about a setting in the Privacy Manager)?? Even though I set my Privacy Manager to use an anonymous fake name, my new posts still show up as being with my anonymous #.
