Nothing is risk free. Anyone can have a reation to just about anything. This goes for healthy people and us sickions, lol.
I have been eating buckwheat flour for many months now. I have made lots of progress with my candida. In light of that I do not belive the buckwheat has directly fed the candida. However, I will add that I have been bloated for many months off and on. I am suspicious of the buckwheat for this reason. It might to hard on the digestion or it might be slowing it down somehow. Granted I do eat alot of it. But I have since nixed it from the diet the last few days and I am going going to see if that is why I am bloated.
Part of me says the buckwheat is causing something. Last summer I went on a very strict anti- candida of egss, chicken, broccoli, and cauliflower and I lost too much weight and my stomach was totally flat. Yet at this time I was full of candida and I was not bloated whatsoever. It does seem that i have been bloated pretty consistantly since eating the buckwheat.
Only a test will show for sure. Though it also seems as though raw lettuce and the psyllium in the shake also causes bloating. So it could simply be a digestion issue with me.
I will let you know how I make out. Whatever the results, I will most likely not toally remove it, since it tastes good and keeps weight on me.
Unfortunately we are all on our own with the food thing. You might have to eliminate it for a while and then reintroduce to see if it is causing you an issue.
