Dear Puskin,
I do own a copy of Michio Kushi's "The Macrobiotic Way", but must admit I hadn't completely digested the part about Yin & Yang. But what I can conclude so far, according to the tables, is that "Yin" foods are generally catabolic substrates, whereas the "Yang" foods are anabolic.
And since the "Yin" foods are associated with the female, and "Yang" with the male, then in a social/spiritual reference, we can infer that women tend toward dispersion and break up of relationships, while men tend toward fusion and rebuilding!!
And in your response to Kevin's inquiry (specific food combinations) on another one of your wild allegations that you refuse to explain, you direct him to page 102 of Kushi which contains nothing at all on the subject in question. I suggest you re-aquaint yourself with the book.
And, although I can't find any mention of "Nightshade" vegetables in the book, there is a table on pg. 63 which includes "vegetables to avoid", which just happens to be comprised most entirely of the nightshades - most of them highly acidic!
Now, don't get me wrong, I embrace the macrobiotic diet, but think a large part of it can be simplified down to PH balance!
