One easy plant to start with with be beets.

Get a nice size organic beet.

Put it in a container...give room.

Let it produce beet greens.

Harvest the beet greens!!!

Choose some from the outside first.

It will keep producing fresh greens you can eat.

You can grow some vegetables in containers.

I find that sometimes I forget to water the containers.
It is good to have an auto watering system, if possible.

Have at least five gallon containers.

Use good soil.

I get a lot of pleasure from having a worm
box.

This is a way to "recycle" some of the remains
of your organic produce parts that are not eaten.

You can find articles on the web about worm
growing.

The worm castings are a very rich source of
soil building.

The key to container gardening
is the quality of the soil.

...and remember to water.

Check that the soil you get to put in the boxes is ok - I read an article a few years ago that said that potting soil - or pretty much anything that comes in bags, is full of heavy metal - not so good!!
