A friend of mine told me she has just gotten over a case of chickenpox. Hadn't seen her in a few weeks. I was wondering if at her age (early 20s) could such a condition be more detremental to someone her age or someone younger. She quipped regarding never having been vaccinated, but I didn't get into that discussion. Being single w/ no children I won't expound on the pros or cons of that issue.
I raise the question as I've heard some "childhood ailments", when contracted at an older age, say in the late teens and twenties, can really have some devastating, permanent and possibly lethat consequences.
Any feedback would be welcome.
