I am not familiar with the diets you have mentioned in your post but I have seen other history-based diet programs that are similar to mine. For example, I read a diet book called (I think) the Origin Diet that advocated the use of dairy products -- I don't agree.
I am a big fan of Eaton and Cordain and, although I discovered their work long after I started work on The Human Diet, have found many similarities and have learned a great deal from them. I guess when you are looking at the truth you are looking at the truth.
There is an appendix -- still in progress -- in my book that addresses many of the other diets out there, Atikins, South Beach, Fit for Life, Veganism, etc. and what it is about them that works. Perhaps I will also add a section for comparison of other paleo-style diets.
