I went to PP from the time I was 17 or 18 until I was around 29. Best gynos I've ever had...and I am now 36 with very good health insurance. I was always given detailed descriptions of different forms of birth control (including abstinence). I felt free to discuss my sexual activities and to ask questions without feeling judged or lead in any particular direction. Plus they were very affordable -- worked on a sliding scale payment system.
I never harbored any ill will towards pro-lifers except for the two times when I was at the clinic (once for my annual check up and once to pick up pills) and there were protesters preaching to (literally) and taunting those who entered. I still don't harbor any ill will towards pro-lifers as a whole...but I feel that their presence at those sites is more of a hindrance than help.
PP may be a good starting point for a child's (appropriately aged ) homework assignment. They do have workers and patients that fall on both sides.
