>>I think you can do a lot more damage preaching that abortion is alright, because what about all those kids who could have been aborted? You make their value seem less.<<
I'm not preaching anything. I'm not making any religious overtones in what I am saying. And I don't make children's values seem less, that is your perception. I believe their value is more because I believe in family planning and I think it's irresponsible, selfish and UNREALISTIC to just keep popping out babies in situations where you cannot guarantee that childs future and happiness.
>>Even if it is a choice, most women who make the choice don't make it because they really want to make the choice, they do it because they feel like they don't have an option.<<
I believe that it's really rare for a young girl to get pregnant, and for her to go on and WANT to bear that child. Maybe in some cases where she has a steady boyfriend then she may feel that option and have the child. But if it's an accident, by incest or by force, I really SERIOUSLY DOUBT many girls want to be a single mother, or to bear that child and hand over that child to a complete stranger. In those cases they feel they have no choice and giving them the option of helping them with their baby isn't likely to change their minds. Most of them want PRIVACY and don't want others ogling over them, family OR strangers.
And in the case of a woman, maybe if the woman is near menopause she may not want another child, and having that child at such a late age is not fair to the child.
All I am saying is that abortion is A CHOICE, (because the fetus IS a part of that girls or woman's body) just as having a baby is A CHOICE, and it should stay that way. And every girl and woman HAS A RIGHT TO PRIVACY in that situation.
No one should EVER BE FORCED to give birth, by anyone.
