I have completed some 14-21 day cleanses (not water fasting, but the master cleanse). On my most successful, I lost 38
pounds (maintained a 30 pound loss for 6 months.) My scale at the time did not measure body fat, but it was obvious that I had lost a LOT of fat in 21 days!
Even on my current MC, I've lost 12
pounds in 4 days, and my bodyfat has dropped 2% according to my bathroom scale. I don't know how accurate that is?? But, I'm on track to lose a significant amount of fat as I lose 40
pounds (unfortunately, the same 40 as I let it creep back on over a year and a half period.)
In Joel Fuhrman's (sp?) book on fasting, all of his patients lost fat while fasting. However, he recommends supervised fasting for anything longer than a few days if you're water fasting.
