I started with juice fasting, and had
Watermelon juice for breakfast. This is so easy to make because I don't have to use the big commercial juicer that I have. Just cut off the outer layer of rind, cut the rest in cubes and put into the Vitamix. Then I poured it through my nutmilk bag to strain, and I had 6 cups of juice. Used the pulp and some of the juice for family smoothie, and I enjoyed my first cup of juice! I'll probably have another 2 this morning, spread out to avoid spiking the blood sugar...
Later will be carrot/cucumber/spinach juice (made with my Norwalk). A lot more work, but I need the nutrients to get through this!
The first 2 days will be easy, because I'll be near home most of the weekend. Monday I have about 4 hours worth of driving to do, so I'll be making the juice and carrying it with me in the cooler.
Tuesday, I have company for the day (I'll cook for them, but not taste) and my mother-in-law and I are redecorating my daughter's room as a surprise. Off she goes to school; then grandma arrives and we're going to paint and put up her new bedding, valance, etc. Can't wait to see her face! I'll need some serious juice for a hard day's work, but at least "Nana" doesn't give me a hard time about fasting.
Starting weight this morning: 229. Was at 114.8 when stopped 18 day fast 12 days ago. Will be there again within a week (I hope) and then will continue to fast (alternating juice fasting with the master clease) until I hit my goal of 190. Then I'll be "high-raw" and hope to make it under 175 by the end of summer. I seem to have a problem making it through the third week. This is when I hit a wall with MAJOR detox. Pain levels go through the roof and I can't get out of the house for days on end. This time, I have cleared my schedule and will try (again) to push through it.
