I don't think that lacto-vegetarianism is healthy, dairy products being extremely unhealthy. Well, raw dairy and cultured products such as kefir are okay for many people but the problem is that that's not what most people eat. My description of most lacto-vegetarian food is: A starch (noodles, bread, rice) with a few veggies and then COVERED in melted cheese, a creamy sauce or some such thing. At least, that's all the "vegetarian" choices at most restaurants.
