We began the CHIP (Coronary Health Improvement Plan) 5 weeks ago.
This is a Vegan program. My husband (78 years) has lost almost 17
lbs. I have lost 10. He has had nervous legs for years. That has stopped along with lower leg problems. For several years, he would push a cart around Costco, due to his legs. Yesterday, he walked the full length of our street, including up the hill to the house. He told the CHIP group, last night, that he is no longer ravenously hungry. Many of his meals, he puts off for a couple hours. You are able to eat so much. A favorite breakfast is whole grain wheat, barley and buckwheat groats, with dates, raisins and dried fruit, served with soymilk. He never thought he could live without meat, he says he doesn't even miss it.
