John Cullison
I ate vegan on Thursday and Friday.
On Saturday, I was at home, where less healthier foods are available (long story), and I decided to be less vegan.
Whoops.
But that wasn't the real problem. The Oreos and milk probably did me in. First, it was diarrhea. Then, later that night, my blood pressure approximately doubled (this is an estimate) while I was in the bathroom, my head started throbbing more intensely than I've ever experienced, my body temperature shot up dramatically, and my thighs visibly vibrated with each heart beat. I wasn't sure what was going on at that point, so I grabbed my zapper (this looked like a massive fever, so I thought... bacterial infection?) and tried to relax. Meanwhile, my abdomen continued to hurt (the diarrhea had been causing intestinal pain...).
After several minutes, things started calming down. I eventually broke out in a huge sweat (my body was drenched). Things seemed much better, but my abdomen hurt even more.
It took me awhile to figure out that it was actually a gall bladder attack.
Epsom Salts away... 15 mintues later, the attack subsided.
It's amazing the kinds of punishment we're willing to mete out to ourselves...
So... I have a pretty good idea how you feel, Amanda.
