From my study of minerals and health, I have found that mineral pairs affect opposite sides of the body. Example: Calcium and magnesium are considered a balancing pair. Calcium affects the left side, magnesium the right. My personal experience was with extreme breakouts on the left side. I first thought that I was allergic to citrus fruits and tomato/tomato-based foods because my breakouts would increase when I consumed these foods. Then I learned that low calcium(and low copper, a right side mineral) are lowered more by consuming vitamin C. And that low levels of the minerals calcium(l), magnesium(r), chromium(l), and copper(r) caused an inflammatory response in the body, such as skin breakouts, internal inflammations, even conjunctivitis.
Since THE DAY I started supplementing calcium(at first without extra magnesium, then with RDA levels of magnesium), my left side had been almost completely clear. I have recently had small breakouts on my right side as I have resumed consuming citrus fruits/tomatoes, and believe it may indicate a copper imbalance, but I'm still in research mode on that one so I can't provide any actual results.
However, I believe that in order for you to make you own definite conclusions, you will need to do more research. I strongly suggest visiting
http://www.acu-cell.com. It has been invaluable to me, and my skin is clearer now than it has been for the past 25 years. And I don't use any
Acne washes, creams, or gels. In fact, I just was my face and moisturize with a little Eucerin lotion.
Good luck, and I hope this helps!
