I think it's sad, most people see dating or relationship as a sort of neccessity, instead of seeing love as a gift. Love IS a gift, we don't ask for a gift, we can live without gifts, and you can never be able to "look for a gift" for yourself, you can never find it, but when love comes, it's always so pleasant. See love as a bonus!!! Then you will be able to appreciate life more.

Everyone has their own problems, some are visible and some are not, if there is true sincere love, then you would want to help your loved one to resolve the problem together, instead of thinking "settling" for something you don't deserve.

You don't get what you deserve, you only get what you ask for, and you cannot get anything better unless you are commited to constantly improve yourself in every aspect in life.

Stop looking and judging others, it is always very easy to see the imperfections within others than your own. Quit jumping from one relationship to another, look deeply inside yourself, further understand yourself, your needs and wants, your good and bad qualities, make some positive changes! Fulfill yourself by doing something inspiring, loving and caring, explore the meanings of life on your own. This is way more rewarding than anything else you can do at the moment.

I rate a "6" on a scale out of "10" or maybe a "5" at worst. You say that any "normal" girl would be turned off about what I wrote to another poster, but then again, I'm writing anonymously within a forum so that example there doesn't matter.

Basically, I called off the date, and I feel better about it. I didn't lead her on, give her a cheap or insulting excuse, and realized that I'd rather do without then date a woman that is beyond 40Lbs overweight. I'm more liberal than a lot of other guys about how much of a waistline I will tolerate.

Those who call me SHALLOW for recognizing that I was lowerering my standards too much are WRONG. I totally disagree. You all can think what you want, but it sure feels good not to DEGRADE myself like I almost did by putting the brakes on, so to speak, with that obese woman who had interest.

Hey I hate superficial people too. I hate those who have picky and prissy standards. But to be attacked for putting out a "help me, I'm getting so desperate that I'm going to date a 200+ Lb woman" just shows that I'm either dealing with bitter fatties or ugly ducklings within this forum.
