GettinHealthy
Well, nothing is "wrong" with you, but you do not have a real grasp of what you really do look like. I know, I have been the exact same way! Here is what has helped me: Wear tight clothes--things you are not comfortable in! Especially something tight at the waist-- a belt helps so much, especially at meal times! When you are eating and you notice the belt getting so much tighter, remind yourself why you are wearing it (becaue you want to lose weight) and tell yourself out loud that it is getting too tight now becaue you are full and must stop eating. Then push yourself away from the table.
Another good trick is to put photos of yourself everywhere so you can see it. The ones that tell you your real size. Put it on your desktop at work, on your fridge at home, above your television, or wherever you can see it often. Look at it often, really closely, and realize that this is the size you are now and you do not want to be this big any more. That is a great motivator for me, at least.
And lastly, make a list of all the things you see yourself doing/enjoying once you are thin that being fat has kept you from enjoying as much as you would like (skiing? wearing a bikini in public? looking good alongside your handsome and fit husband? being healthy so you will be around to enjoy life with your husband and family?). Look at the list often, especially when you feel your resolve weakening!
All the best to you!
