I have had the cold sore virus for most of my life, and for the most part i would be inflicted once or twice a year, hardly a huge inconvenience....but for the past 6-8 months i have been getting cold sores just before my menstruation. its like clockwork, every month, and it is really starting to bother me. can anyone help me try to prevent this from continually happening, and/or help me find a relatively quick cure to zap the sores when they do appear? cheers.- Today is your lucky day ... Coconut oil kills lipid-coated viruses on contact. Now cold sores are caused by a member of the herpes family of viruses, which are lipid coated. So coconut oil kills the cold-sore virus on contact. Apply it topically as soon as you notice the tingle, and the coldsore should never appear.
If you like you can take coconut oil orally for preventative purposes.
I tried it about 6 months ago on a coldsore and the coldsore didn't even appear!! It worked like magic. Its been 6 months and I'm still waiting for another one.

This is a reply to # 663,876I got cankers a lot when I wore braces. The chemical balance inside my mouth was way off...that's when I ended up w/tons of cankers. Also, when I used the Rembrandt teeth whitening system after I got them off, same thing happened. I learned that my body was too acidic, so taking this drink called GreensFirst began to make my body more alkaline. That seemed to do the trick. Otherwise, I got some weird paste stuff from my doctor (prescription) that I would put directly on the cankers that cleared them up in a matter of days. It's some brown, gritty, pasty stuff w/a really long name.

This is a reply to # 663,857I have the exact same plague! Like clockwork!! I'm working with an herbalist now to see if we can balance my hormones, which seems they are causing the issue. Been 5 months straight for me so far! The only thing that gives me relief is going to the dentist and having them lasered every month so they heal in but a few days in stead of weeks. Let me know how you are doing.
