Just caught something very nasty. I don't know if its the flu:
at first had diarrhea that came and went. few days later:
all body ache, cramps as my tummy hardened (I am pregnant 5 months, so I was so scared, thought it was a premature labor!)
then I threw up very powerfully like from a fire hose, it came thourgh the nose too! After that throwing up session, the cramps gone.. but had heartburns that gone too.
Have no apetite. I have to force myself even to drink water.
All night was a toture, all body hurts, don't seem to find a comfortable position to sleep at. while under blankets, its too hot. when out of the blankets its too cold.
so I treated it by taking vitamin C , acidoplus and raw honey. Before 24 hours passed on this, I start feeling better..
is this the flu?

I had a flu coming on with nausea and body aches and I took echinacea 4 tablespoons...All better : )

Recently on our news broadcasts, they have talked about the flu being here earlier than expected.
It sounds like it is coming with a vengeance.
I don't believe in the flu shot myself.
Ironically for a few years, i did volunteer work to help give the flu shot.
I always found it unbelievable, how people used to get so enthralled about receiving a flu shot and then in the next breath they would tell me just how sick they had gotten the year before with the flu.
If you listen to CBC broadcasts in Canada, they sometimes give home remedies to help ai flus and colds

This one woman gave an old family remedy her grandmother used to rid themselves of colds and flus almost immediately.
It goes something like this:
Garlic,ginger,cayenne, turmeric or cumin, cinnamon,honey and i think a few other ingredients. Just put a little of each in a cup of hot water and drink.

I did try it. It is quite potent.
But hey, if it works go for it.
