I got bit by a tick 20 years ago, but blood tests have repeatedly come out negative despite severe symptoms. My infectious disease doctor told me about a new test, which looks at the blood differently. (There are many reasons why the standard tests have many, many false negatives). I came out positive for lyme and babesia.
I'm relieved to finally have an answer. At this point I need to decide my course of treatment. The normal course for this late stage of the problem is years of
Antibiotics . I would be very grateful to hear from anyone who has tried anything for lyme and/or babesia.
WHAT HAS WORKED FOR YOU AND WHAT HAS NOT?
Thanks!
For anyone with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, lupus, MS, etc - you may want to consider the possibility of lyme, which often gets diagnosed as these and other illnesses. The test I took was from Bowen labs - 727-937-9077. Also many people now use a test from IGenx - you can find on the web.
