Taking iron supplements is a hard way to assimilate iron. Much better to juice green leafy veggies with a source of vitamin C, such as an organic lemon, skin and all. Start with 6
oz of dark green juice and add 1/4 lemon. Taste and add more lemon if needed.
Balancing the lemon flavor with the green veggies will gives you a balanced complex of minerals, along with complex vitamin c and bioflavanoids needed to assimilate the iron.
If you can't juice, try salads of dark green leafy veggies, with lemon dressing, or take your iron supplements with orange juice.
Remember, as your iron levels normalize, lower your intake so you don't get too much iron!
