Hey Doc!! Im new here, and Im posting because I cant find any information on this anywhere. The skin in my mouth is constantly peeling- and I mean alot. All day long, and in the morning when I wake up I have a lot of the skin residue in my mouth. Needless to say, its gross, but Im worried this is not a good thing. There is no pain, and otherwise my mouth is normal and healthy.
Im thinking it may have something to do with the vitamins/supplements Im taking- I take more than a few. Do you know of any reason this might be happening, and is this bad?

Can you give me a more specific idea of where exactly this tissue is coming off from? Is it skin around your mouth or mucosa from inside your mouth?

Its peeling from my gums, and the skin on the inside of my mouth.

MoreThis is a reply to # 657,579You're not alone. I have the exact same thing. It happens almost every day. It's disgusting. Sometimes I pull these long strings out of my mouth. Please tell me what it is. I asked my dentist if it's normal and he says yes but everyone else I asked has never heard of this. Husband says it never happened to him . It started several months ago and happens almost every day. Help!!!!

Recently I have been having this nasty skin peeling in my mouth as well. It's gross and embarassing because I might be talking to someone and all of a sudden it is there to get in the way of my speech. BLEH! What the hell is wrong with me?!
