Well - DON'T do two things I did today!
One: go to the grocery store! (Hey, I needed water!)
Two: leave a lot of food in your refrigerator!
On a more serious note - if you want to see it through, you will. You have a choice, you know, to stay on it, or to go off it. There isn't really any right or wrong - it's what works for you and what you want to do. Isn't that a bunch of nice gobbledygook? But I'm serious.
Other than that, take it a bit at a time. Try some other solutions - I am doing molasses rather than maple syrup because I'm hypoglycemic. I never would have made it on the maple syrup - I'd have tanked by 1 pm (that aforementioned refrigerator full of food...) - so the molasses has something more substantial to it, BUT it doesn't taste as good.
Are you concerned you'll be hungry? Just not enough discipline? It IS rather boring - I won't lie to you. There's a reason everyone is joking about reading cookbooks! On the other hand, you won't be spending $$ at restaurants, or taking a lot of time cooking in the kitchen - and think of all the dishes you won't have to wash!
Do as much as you are comfortable with, stay on it as long as you can, push yourself a little bit. And if you go off it early, you go off it early. You won't be the first or the last to do so(and my story isn't finished either, BTW)! Think about how groovy you'll feel on the other end of this thing....!
