I'm wondering what the price of lemons is in other areas besides here in central BC, Canada. Right now, for example, the local Safeway (which is usually more expensive than the other large grocery stores) has them on sale, 3 for a dollar. I'm wondering if I can fairly expect a lower price someday, or if I should buy them at that price and start another cleanse (it'd be my third cleanse this year, so I'm not in too big of a hurry to get into it).

I think that's pretty comparable to Pennsylvania - about 3 for a dollar here too, for regular lemons from the supermarket which is what I think you mean, right? And 49 - 59 cents each (depends on what day of the week) for organic ones at the health food store, and 3 for 4.00 (yes! really!) for organic lemons at the supermarket.

MoreThis is a reply to # 643,964I'm paying 2/$1.00 for lemons here in the Ozarks. I wouldn't mind the price, but they are all rind and peel and very little juice. Sometimes another store has a bag of half rotten small lemons 12/$1.99, but they are hardly worth buying.

This is a reply to # 643,965well a discount store here sells them for 33 cents each, while the big super walmart sells them for 63 cents !! each .. even tho htye are bigger, you can smell the preseervative chemical on them.
un fortunately my kids bought me some there cause they were out that way *( when i specifically said to go to food for less *(
so they definitel vary in size, and such just even in one samll town.

I was thinking about going to a Supercenter or Neighborhood Market to see if the WalMart folks sold lemons for less.Its such a long drive to get to one, I think I'll save the gas money and invest in more lemons. yes i am using these since they bough tme a ton *( bu tnot happy with them *( at all.i still have soem 2 weeks old in fridge from food for less (of course i won't use those now, but they do still smell fresh and look fresh. and were cheaper.
the ones from walmart already have white mold starte don sking yech *(and ithink were picked too soon... i am gonna end up throwing a whole bunch of them out *( /e goes to wring her kids necks 8)

Yes, it has gotten less exciting with each time I've done the cleanse, but still I anticipate doing it. I enjoy the weight loss that comes with it. I'm mad at myself for having somehow gained 6 lbs this summer (probably eating too much of my kids' baking) and want to lose it so my jeans aren't so tight. (Cheaper than buying 3 new pairs of jeans every time I gain 5-6 lbs.)
Sounds like 3 for $1 is about normal, then, judging by what everyone on here has posted. Thanks to everyone for the answers!

This is a reply to # 643,963I've posted this so many times here that I probably sound like a broken record to the regulars, but here I go again, LOL - if you belong to a warehouse club - check there! I got the BEST deal on lemons at B.J.'s wholesale club, 5 lbs for 4.99, and these were wonderful, huge, juicy, fresh, Sunkist lemons. Prior to the MC, I was purchasing them at Stop'n'Shop for .79 each (well, I AM in Fairfield County, CT - EVERYTHING is overpriced!), so I was wary of the organic lemon prices.....which turned out to be .49 each. I was paying extra for pesticide privileges! Go figure.
