This is a reply to # 639,992Saying Paul is not our master is not clear thinking. The apostle Paul's writings were inspired by the Holy Spirit and meant for us to follow. The whole counsel of God includes Paul's writings.
It is very important for us to watch the words that we speak against the leaders that God puts into office. We surely will not agree with them all but speaking cutting words is not pleasing to God. The above verses are very important and teach us to watch our tongues. In fact, James has taught much on the tongue that we here on the debate forum could certainly be careful to follow. I suggest we all reread the verses posted by Batchman and seriously think on them.
I don't believe God ordained the awful actions of Saddam any more than He ordained the actions of Hitler. But, both men and their evil deeds were stopped in God's timimg.

This is a reply to # 639,995i will tell you what is clear. paul gave his opinion sometimes. he even specifically said so on at least one occasion, saying it was not the lord who was saying it but himself.
these writings were selcted by a bunch of power mongers back in the fourth century. do they have relevence today? yes, for someone with a mind that works.
the passage that bm5 quotes is not consistent with the rest of scriptures. the gov doesnt speak for god. thats nuts!
then, on top of that, we are operating in this country under the delusion that the people are the gov. there is not one of the socalled elected officials that i know of that would give me the time of day. i am no more represented by them that i am by a crack ho on the streets.
supporting the bush dynasty is wrong. supporting war is wrong. supporting the further rape and pillage of our planet and the poisoning of our environment is wrong. supporting the enslaving of the poor is wrong. supporting racism and other bigotries is wrong. and ALL of those things and more are what constitute the gov of the united states right now. and anybody who supports them is wrong, too.- Re: clearly batchman555

the last honest thing a president said in office in this country was when dwight was on his way out. my whole political life has been a lie. heck, i even believed in reagan until the bozo we have now came into office and really opened my eyes. i have learned much since then. all of these people go to california and give a burnt sacrifice to an idol of an owl. your great and powerful leader worships molech. how do you like that!? what a pitiful bunch to be taken in so easily. - Re: Leaders in Place....Or Removed..... tomi444

This is a reply to # 640,012there is no such person. it is the flesh of man that is being talked about. it takes a certain level of understanding to see that. the ones who translated the bible were not there yet and made it say what made sense to them. it is not in the original language. now someone can come along and pretend to know better and show false evidence of a falsehood, but it wont change a thing. flesh and blood has not revealed this to me, but my heavenly father who tells me all things!

This is a reply to # 640,020Of course Satan is a real spirit being and I don't care to have a satanic relationship at all. Trapper, as time passes I see you getting more and more angry and seem to be attacking rather than debating. I am not sure where you get your information regarding the scribes and other Bible translators being unable to correctly write the scriptures. It is God breathed and God sure is able to protect His Word.
