The Old Testament God is balanced good/evil but Jesus revealed the true nature of God... The Father of Lights...Aba Father... The Father who believes that true worship is to love our God with all of our heart and all of our mind.... I think the most dangerous christians on earth sit in pews with other christians, with a form of worship that looks like christianity, but they act in a way that is in direct conflict with the nature of a loving God... They start inquisitions, and pray for the deaths of their neighbors and call it war, they judge everyone around them by a higher standard than Jesus does for them... they often say we get what deserve but they miss the part about forgiveness... I can forgive them but they can't forgive me for my beliefs. They dwell on darkness...while God is light...They remember the scripture about how Satan can appear like an angel of light but they forget the dozens of scriptures where God is light... They might even say they believe God is love but where is the love they have for their neighbor? Preachers who preach from their flesh will preach a message that speaks to the christians in disguise, so they can fill their pews...while they sing beautiful praises to God and talk about how loving God is to those who have ears to hear from God...
When I hear preachers speaking from their flesh, and not from the spirit, I get the feeling it is time to move on...but where do we run but back into our Father's arms... A God who loves us beyond death...
: 17 Yes I know that in some verses light means to understand, but not all of them.
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father Of Lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Corinthians 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 16 I say again, let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.
1 Peter 2
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Job 22
28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. 10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.
Psalms 90
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance
Proverbs 6
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Isaiah 2
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Isaiah 8
20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Isaiah 45
7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Daniel 5
14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.
Micah 7
8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. 9 I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
Matthew 6
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light
John 1
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the True Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
John 3
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 8
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
John 12
36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Acts 26

Romans 13
12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. 13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. 14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof
2 Corinthians 4
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ
Ephesians 5
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Colossians 1
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
James 1
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father Of Lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures. 19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
1 John 1
5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 2
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the True Light now shineth. 9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
Revelation 22
