I haven't read the other responses yet, so I hope I'm not repeating anyone. I disagree with what your Doctor said. The Tetanus vaccine used to acctually cause Tetanus in some people. Progresivly over the years the vaccine has been made weaker and weaker and now offers very little or no protection against the disease at all. Also, the vaccine is often used in cases where people are highly unlikely to catch the disease anyway. And simply washing the wound with soap and water is sufficient enough. I will see if I can find the sources where I read that, but it has been a few years and some of my stuff is still in boxes. I'm sure the info will be on-line though somewhere!
No-one in my family has recieved and
vaccination for several generations, we've all faired well.
