I have a question and would really appreciate if anyone has any feedback. I have done a breif research on vaccinations and have made the chioce to not vaccinate my two children who are four and five now. My question is (now that my oldest will be attending school next year)will they be safe around other children that have received shots?? And how safe are they around Babies?I babysit for a baby that will be getting shots next week and need to know if i should have the mother find alternate care for a while? I just have not been able to find too much info on this topic and would really appreciate some feedback. Thank you:)

This is a reply to # 62,267I too have not vaccinated my son. He is four now and has attended daycare [part-time] for the last two years; he has also been around lots of vaccinated kids. I have read that there is some danger in exposing vaccinated children to non vaccinated children. This is within the first 72 hours of the vaccinated child receiving shots. Particularily the live vaccines. However, the danger is in the bodily fluids [saliva, urine and feces] I'm not sure though how much of a danger this is. I think if you ensure your child's immunity [by not feeding Sugar and increasing vit c] and cleanliness. You will be okay.
