These quips from an article [2003] about Gulf War Syndrome, and how it may be getting into the general population. Is that what the pentagon wants, to accomplish a goal of some kind?
If there were an answer, a cure to GWS, would they embrace it or, if they wanted this to be spread to all the American population, would they discredit the treatments that are proving successfull against GWS?
This quote tell us something : "Dr. Nicholson has been treating GWS vets with the Antibiotic Doxycycline, and says the results have been phenomenal. The Pentagon issued a statement that it does not recommend treatment of GWS with Doxycycline or any other antibiotic."
So the Pentagon would get in the way of treaments for GWS/GWI.
I see it as either protecting the pharmaceutical industry [so it can administer less effective 'symptoms treating' pills for a lifetime] , or to deny the whole problem outright, or, as the article suggests, to allow GWI/GWS to be spread to the general population. {Geez, isn't there enough chronic illness now?

I guess they want to ratchet it [the infections with engineered illnesses] up and up very slowly so we don't notice until we are mostly down-and-out sick, at which time they will be able to cull significant numbers from the population. This will become known as the apocolypse that is meant to leave behind only the pure [-ly wealthy].

The point of 'who this apocolypse leaves behind' is debate-able, to say the least. The NWO belief is that the richest people are the most deserving, as a form of natural selection [despite the hemophelia in royalty and the Great Familys]. Requirments of evil deeds [to ensure your loyalty, by having an unsolved crime hanging around yur neck] may be necessary - ever wonder about all those "senseless murders"? - its just the NWO games, the Olympics of death.

I would vote for leaving the population as it is, and finding ways to work out the overpopulation problems generationally. This has been done successfully in many areas, notably China. But the real point of the de-populating is that all the wealth that has been achieved so far can be concentrated in the hands of the few remaining people, after the apocolypse. It is a plan that needs to be carried out over a few generations, and then brought to a head, a likely date seems to be 2012.

Besides GWI, there are other ways to induce the level of illness appropriate to slave population control, including
- air pollution [asthma problems increasing ; cancers]
- dental issues [perfect for harbouring bacteria]
- diet complications , bowel disease* [hydrogenated oils , Genetically-Modified soy and corn and grains]
- chemical sensitivity * [everywhere you turn you are assaulted, fatigue and general dysfunction result]
- pharmacy [the 'treatment of symptoms', by itself, can ensure early death and many complications, but these little pills promote cancers and other medical problems, for which more pills and surgery is 'indicated']
- stress *[ increasingly lowered tolerance to other people seems obvious these days, but also many physical sources like noise and pollution, and the money situation can be easily altered to create financial stress; ...this could become a huge list so I will stop here].

* Suicides are best - get them to kill themselves and the NWO cannot be blamed.f

But the football game is on, so "lets all go to the lobby" and just forget about it until we get sick, or sicker I guess.until the sky actually falls I don't think we have to worry.
