i'm far from a bible thumper, but i did grow up in a christian environment and admit to having read the bible from cover to cover. this fact comes in handy when religios fanatics such as moore and his "supporters" want to force their beliefs upon everyone else. i used the following argument the other day, when someone blurted out that "80% of americans are christians", so naturally, their beliefs ought to come before everyone else's feelings & rights - the bible does say "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth" (4th commandment), like, say, a huge copy of the Ten Commandments, then bow down to it, treating it as a holy object. 'nuff said. the argument is won using their own ammunition. my favorite way of winning an argument...
