i am using the every day castor oil for my belly, is that why nothing is happening?? i have tried it twice, with a heating pad for about an hour each time. please, someone, let me know if im using the wrong product. this is just castor oil from the drug store, for constipation. thanks all- Re: am i using the wrong castor oil? rdparty

My doctor says you can use it during your period, but you do have to be aware that it can increase your flow. Not always a bad thing if you clot. Can be better than the alternative. If you have an OBGYN who knows you then you could ask if it is ok for you. I use it if I feel I need to and just deal. I feel better that way, but everyone is different.

This is a reply to # 617,673Castor Oil needs to be cold pressed in order to have it be useful in a castor oil pack... if its not cold pressed, the useful ingredients in the oil won't have made it through the manufacturing process. I read an article that talked about a study of castor oil packs and t lymphocyte production - everyone in the study did amazingly well with the packs, except for 2 people- and it was later determined that those 2 didn't use cold pressed oil.
