I'm brand new here ... but in no way new to fibromyalgia. I have had more problems with doctors in the last 3 years that I have lived in Sioux City than I EVER had in 36 years living in Ohio. All these docs are in Sioux City IA unless otherwise noted. (Man this feels wonderful already!) I have fired all of these people. I would never recommend them to anyone. They are not interested in taking care of folks who have to go about life dragging fibromyalgia along with them 24/7. They say and do things to make it very clear they do not want your business. And, if you attempt to stand up for yourself and challenge them, they will flat out tell you to not come back.
Jeff Kellogg, DO at Midtown Mercy Clinic. This guy wears one of those WWJD bracelets while swearing at you about asking for help with pain control. BAD DOCTOR!
R. Chad Wisco MD rheumatologist at CNOS in Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. Wayyyyyy to busy to listen to a word you say. I waited for 6 months to see this guy, didn't get my entire 15 minutes, and he asked me about a different patient who was under my care as a nurse. Now that, my friends, takes a lot of gall.
Heather Longval MD also at Midtown Mercy (merciless is more like it) this poor gal is new and doesn't have a clue about fibro. Might be fine for a hangnail or sore throat, but fibro -- no way.
Frank Marino DO at Indian Hills clinic. This one doesn't believe in fibro, end of discussion, have a nice day.
Liz Chilton ARNP at Midtown Mercy. "Hmmmm ... maybe if I give her a migraine pill she'll shut up about the fibro pain and I can slide out the door without having to deal with it....." it didn't work, honeybuns. Your name is posted here now (evil laughter)
Wow. I can't believe how good it feels to finally get this out. Maybe if enough people get the word out on these guys they'd be forced to re-evaluate the way they relate to their patients.
I used to say that I would not wish fibro on my worst enemy. But the more I deal with incompetant doctors, I have changed my mind. I DO wish these guys would develop fibro. Not just for a week, or a month, or a year. Forever, just like the rest of us. I also wish they'd get the same quality health care that they have given me -- ROTTEN!
