Sounds like you have a secret admirer who is making your life miserable.

You don't have a lot of options. You can't block the number because you don't know the number. You can't use call return, either.

Does your phone service offer call tracing? If so, they will be able to trace the number and after a few calls, they will send the caller a letter asking him (or her) to stop and if the calls continue, phone priviledges will be suspended.

Or do what you don't want to do and get another number.......

Don't know if it is available in your area or with your phone company, but PRIVACY MANAGER might do the trick! It's not a gadget...it's a service that you add on to your service package and it only allows calls which display their number on caller ID to get directly through to you. Any other calls are screened by the service and the caller has to either announce their name or number...then you get a call with a computer message informing you that you have a call from XYZ or 123-4567 and you get the option to take the call, deny it or play a pre-recorded message informing the caller that you do not wish to receive further calls from them. It virtually eliminates telemarketers and nuisance callers who don't want to give out their ID. A lot of those calls are probably telemarketers...they're relentless!

In our area when we get calls like you have, we call the phone company and tell them. But we need to call the phone company after each call we get from that person, so it's documented. They do know what number is calling you and it's considered harrassment. So after 3 reports of this to the phone company they notify the police and they confront the caller. We never know who it is. But then charges can be made on that person. Out here, it's $300 and community service for phone harrassment. Talk to your phone company. You really should not have to put up with that. Your phone company should be helping you with this if you have reported it to them.
