my father was under chiropractic care fo over 25 years. well for the past 10 years he has been with ( dr. smith) not his real name. anyway, what im getting to is, dr. smith always bragged how healthy dad was. last october 2003, he told dad once again how good he is doing, and very healthy. dad had complained of indigetion for a long time. dr. smith said, all you need is an adjusment. before i tell you the rest, i also was under chiropractic care for many years, and my sister went to sherman college, in sc. well novemeber,2003 i took dad to the er, for leg swelling. he died one month later, still in the hospital. he had advanced blader cancer. he ended up with 4 surgeries in one week. this gave him a urine bad and colon bag. he was 79. he died a very painful death. he suffered very much. so, mom called dr. smith many times, its been over 4 months now, havent heard from dr. smith. he didnt come to see dad in the hospital, or come to the funeral. we all thought dad was in great health, we had total faith in this dr. now he wont return calls. im sure he is feeling very guilty about now. any suggestions??? i will be going this week to pick up dad files from this dr. i would love any input. my family is very deep in grief, my parents where married for 54 years. now my mom struggles to get through the days. we feel that if this dr. had seen something, he could have told dad to go to an md for tests, maybe dad would still be here. once you see your parent suffering, full of tubes, and begging to die, you wonder why!!!!! you see, this dr. doesnt belive in medical drs. at all. so, now we know what that means!!!
