R Failed Remedy
I started out having classic gallstone symptons. I had a regular ultrasound with negative results, an endoscopy that showed no problems and finally a HIDA ultrasound which revealed a non-funtioning gallbladder.
During this time I did two liver/GB flushes on consequtive weekends. The first produced a couple dozen pea green size Gallstones and the second flush produced nothing. The painfull attacks continued. Epson salts did not relieve the pain.
I agreed with my doctor to remove my GB. I had the surgery on an outpatient basis today. The doctor said that my gallbladder was full of sludge, pus and gunk. I'm a little sore, but feeling much better than I thought I would.
I'll report back as my recovery continues.

I did pray for you and still am, it does sound like you made the right decision. I can't help but wonder what was causing all the trouble in your GB. He didn't say anything about stones?

MoreThis is a reply to # 611,660Thanks for keeping me in your prayers. The Doc didn't go into details about the gunk and sludge in my GB...or how it got there. It is probably from years not eating right and not taking better care of myself.
I'll be making some lasting changes in my diet and lifestyle. I've been taking Milk Thistle to help with my liver functions and I am still planning on a Liver Flush again when I get over the surgery. I don't know if the liver/gb flushes would have helped with cleaning the gunk out of my GB...maybe it would have, if I had not been in such pains and would have longer to do more flushes. Maybe someone reading this can weigh that notion.

It does seem that the GB can become diseased (without the presence of stones) and need to be removed. It sounds like you did the right thing.

This is a reply to # 611,667I had mine out last year. I had acalculous cholescystitis (no stones) and my gb when removed was full of adhesions, pus and scar tissue also. I felt better real soon, but within 6 weeks I had pain and indigestion again. I am flushing my liver, (4th flush this am) and am getting out many stones and sludge. I am also taking liver herbs and teas to help it mend. Good luck to you. I wouldn't flush before 6-8 weeks to allow for healing.
