Once you discover that a person is using different user-names inside the same discussion thread, here are the questions to ask:
Is there a possibility that the person posted a message or a several messages under different name by error?
It happens often to people who have 2 or 3 usernames. They accidentally post a message(s) from another username (or by using anonymous number).
Most often, they are not aware what they did.
In those cases, you can see, by reading a message, that person is continuing discussion from another username, but is unaware that his/her username is different.
The question to ask is:
Does it look like the person is trying to deceive everybody and is trying to act as new personality,
or
Does it look like the person simply forgotten that his/her username was replaced with anonymous number ... or person forgotten to log off one username and log on another.
This question is very important, as that separates sincere posters from spammers.
Spammers should be warned, while sincere poster will sooner or later realize that he/she made an error.
To me, it looks like Corinthian was not trying to deceive debaters by posting from another username.
Is there any instance where Corinthian was openly trying to deceive debaters and make them think that somebody else joined discussion?
